This kit uses fans that are not compatible with any of our thermal control units no matter what you purchase, if you need thermal control please buy a kit that comes with one, anything labeled as "Lite" or "5v" is not compatible
We had a small number of kits go out in late December / early January where the fans were wired incorrectly, when we found out we pulled all of our inventory from Amazon, we don't know how many and who got the incorrect fans so if your kit doesn't work please contact us for a free replacement, also know all our kits still contain a 3 year warranty
This Lite version of our Cabcool cooling kits is a great selection if you just want a no nonsense easy to install kit to keep your stuff cool.
We paired our silent fans with a wall wart style 2 prong ac adapter so you can power it from a standard wall socket or any entertainment device that has an outlet
A quiet stand alone system, perfect to go on when your AV amplifier goes on, or just run all the time.
This is a complete kit for a dual fan unit (8.25" x 4.25" x 1.25") that will quietly cool your cabinet or multimedia center.
Can be mounted on any side of a cabinet, where room permits, by cutting a hole approximately 3/4" smaller on all sides of the outside bracket.
Insert completed cooler assembly in hole and attach to cabinet with appropriate screws.
Fans can be set to blow into or out of the cabinet depending on your needs.

I bought this fan kit to keep the cabinet housing my home theater equipment from getting too hot. Upon opening the package and inspecting the components, I called CoolGuys because I thought I was missing a connector - my bad for not reading the instructions beforehand. They answered the call quickly and explained how the unit needed to be connected - so, no missing part. I assembled the kit in about 5 mins. All the materials seem to be sturdy and of good quality. Some posters here have complained about mounting holes not be properly aligned. I did not experience this at all. I installed it in my cabinet in another 5 mins. The fans are absolutely quiet - you can't even hear them at arm's length. Great product and excellent customer service. I definitely recommend this kit.

The assembly was a snap and it installed in about 20 minutes. I tried the fans before I cut the opening and was shocked that I couldn't even hear them running 10 inches from me! They work great.

This kit is very well built and seems to consist of solid parts. It took me about 5 minutes to assemble and install it. The fans definitely move a lot of air and keep my components cool, however, the fans have been getting louder everyday. Upon initial installation, they were almost silent, but now I can hear them from across the room. I am not sure if the fans are going bad so I may be seeking a replacement/return.
